Prière de Pentecôte pour la paix
Le pape François nous invite à prier pour la rencontre de prière pour la paix qui aura lieu dimanche 8 juin 2014, dans les jardins du Vatican, avec le président palestinien Mahmud Abbas et le président israélien Shimon Peres. Voici la prière que nous propose Pax Christi, afin de nous associer à cette prière pour la paix en Terre Sainte.
Esprit du Père, viens !
Viens toucher les cœurs
De ceux qui cherchent en eux la paix
Viens, Esprit du Fils, viens !
Que l’amour et la vérité se rencontrent
Pour qu’enfin justice et paix s’embrassent
Toi l’Esprit répandu au Cénacle
Sur ceux qui furent surpris
Par la lumière de la Résurrection
Viens surprendre
Ceux qui, aujourd’hui, ont le destin
De leurs peuples en leurs mains
Dans cette terre meurtrie
Dont tu as pris chair.
Viens souffler sur les responsables
Les dirigeants politiques
Les chefs militaires
Les autorités religieuses
Des peuples de cette terre sainte
Terre du peuple d’Israël
Terre du peuple de Palestine
Viens répandre la douceur
De ta consolationSur ceux qui ont perdu un être cher
Dans les violences, dans les représailles
Dans les attentats, dans les aveuglements.
Viens faire cesser la spirale de la peur
Et redonner courage à ceux
Qui ne se laissent pas envahir par la haine.

Les langues de la méfiance
Les langues du mépris
Pour que, seules, résonnent
Dans les ruelles de Jérusalem et de

De Tel Aviv et de Hébron

Dans les kibboutz de la vallée du Jourdain
Et dans les camps de réfugiés
de Jordanie et du Liban

La voix reconnaissable par tous
